Our rabbitry is a closed rabbitry for biosecurity reasons, we will schedule a mutual meeting place rather than having visitors come directly into the rabbitry. This meeting also gives you the opportunity to meet the rabbits and choose the one that best fits you.
Before adoption day, please make sure you have your rabbit’s housing and supplies ready.
We do not provide cages, supplies, or carriers, so adopters must bring their own carrier or transport container when picking up their rabbit.
A pet carrier is ideal, but a box with hay will also work if needed.
Minimum cage size: 30” x 30”
Rabbits should not live with chickens, as chickens can transmit diseases and respiratory illnesses to rabbits.
Please ensure housing and supplies are ready before adoption.
Rabbits are weaned at 2 months old and will be ready for adoption once weaned.
On adoption day:
The remaining balance of the adoption fee will be paid.
You will bring your carrier or transport box.
We will review care instructions and answer any final questions before you take your rabbit home.
We breed rabbits specifically to serve as breeding stock, show animals, & pets.
Our rabbits are not meat rabbits.
We do not sell rabbits for holidays or gifts.
Unfortunately, many rabbits purchased as seasonal gifts are later abandoned. Domesticated rabbits are currently the third most common pet surrendered to shelters, after dogs and cats. This problem is especially severe around Easter, when impulse purchases lead to many rabbits being abandoned or dying within the first year. Domestic rabbits cannot survive in the wild, and releasing them outdoors is often fatal.
After our rabbits have left our rabbitry and are in your possession, WillowBlossom Rabbits is no longer responsible for the health of the animal. We will not be responsible for any vet bills once the animal has left our rabbitry.
